2010/11/25    EMF Board Meeting Berlin / Germany

On the 20th and 21st November 2011 the complete EMF board took part in a meeting in Berlin, Germany's. In a very constructive way EMF President Victor Condeco (Portugal) led the meeting in cold and foggy Berlin. Meanwhile the meeting was not cold and foggy. Many discussions were had, some of them hard and critical, but most of the time the board agreed. The discussions were respectful and concerned with finding a common position. The way meetings should be.

The President reported on some ideas of the WMF board meeting from October. Marcus Wüthrich (Switzerland), new Secretary General, has already worked on the improvement of internal communication. Finance Manager Michael R. Soelling (Denmark) introduced the financial situation, which is always very important to keep the EMF running. Much time was spent discussing the situation on the sport sector.

New Sport Director Günter Schwarz from Germany was well prepared. He gave a short feedback on the European Cup in Vienna and the upcoming sport events in Europe. He also introduced his idea and proposal of awarding two titles at future European Championships (strokeplay and matchplay titles).

Reinhard Neitzke gave a short feedback on the European Championships in Predazzo and also, as new Media Manager, a good discussion followed about the media strategy for future years. The meeting was rounded off with Anabela Pereira (Portugal) discussing her field of work in development, youth and the Mini & Golfi project.
